Take Your Christmas & Shove It!

Hmmmm, welp, that seems kind of cruel. But man, I got to tell you, I am really exhausted by this crap of starting out the Christmas season before October is done and going full-blast Mad Max speed into your face by November 1. And don't get me started on "Green Friday". That's the day at Toys'R'Us that the holiday kicks up from frenzied up into Armageddon Insane. The day after Thanksgiving of course. And so of course, we can barely keep any new hires so I keep ending up in the warehouse. I need a new job so bad and like last month...

Anyway, well, on better subjects I actually got caught up on The Trials of Shazam! and it's a pretty damned good book. I also attended Tampacon on Sunday, found a lot of cool stuff and met Feedback, Fat Momma and Parthenon from "Who Wants To Be A Superhero?!". These folks have to be the nicest people I have met at any type of fandom convention, all the money goes to charities and they keep giving and giving. I took my eldest daughter who was also a big fan of the show and she got autographs and pictures with all three. I also had a major score of the con in finally getting a copy of the last Marvel Comics issue of Star Wars for like $15 bucks. I have seen that thing going for like $75 bucks in the past so I was really happy.

I also finished the first draft of my comic script, The Night Terror and am pretty happy with it. It needs work but at least I've fleshed out the skeleton, the rest is filling up the rest.

I've also been enjoying Chuck, Reaper, Stargate Atlantis (which I am like 2 seasons behind) Pushing Daises, Supernatural, Smallville (though it's huge violations of the Superman canon are really starting to get on my nerves big time again) My Name Is Earl but I have fallen way behind on Prison Break and Heroes.

Welp, gonna get, until I get the spirit, once again, take your premature Christmas and SHOVE IT!!!
